2007年、ベルギーとパリの旅（タンタンとブランクーシを巡る旅） その2

7/11初日Ｎｏ.1　終日ブリュッセル観光
（9：15北駅　→　10：10南駅→　11：40マンガ博物館→　14：00ＴＩＮＴＩＮショップ→　14：25グランプラス→）

昨夜、遅くに投宿しましたが、8時半に行動開始。今回のベルギー旅行では、オステンドのＴＩＮＴＩＮも展覧会が（自分の中では）メインイベントなので、オステンド方面行きの列車が発着する北駅に偵察に。その後、後日パリに旅立つ南駅の偵察も。地下鉄で一旦ホテルに戻り、ブリュッセルの交通機関や街の構造も大筋把握できました。

いよいよ、ベルギーの街めぐりです。
まずは、マンガ博物館から。ベルギーは、昔からマンガ文化が隆盛でヨーロッパのマンガの発信地だったそうです。アートとしての市民権も得ていて、後で出会うことになるのですが、街中にも、タンタンをはじめとしたマンガアートが目に付きます。（30ケ所以上あるようです）。それが、どれもこれもウィットに富んでいてファッショナブルで素敵でした。ＴＩＮＴＩＮは世界的に有名ですが、生まれがベルギーだということはあまり知られていません。僕もずっとフランスのマンガだと思っていました。
ベルギーと言えば、ビール、チョコレート、ワッフルというイメージですが、マンガ文化も忘れてはいけない要素です。で、マンガ博物館です。ベルギーのお目当てはタンタンなのですが、ここマンガ博物館でも堂々と主役を張っています。原画の数々が素敵な演出で展示されているので、見て歩くだけでウキウキしてきます。

ミュージアムショップもＴＩＮＴＩＮグッズが目白押しで、最初の訪問地なのにさっそく購入です。
ヴィクトール・オルタ設計の建物もアールヌーボーのとても美しいものです。建物好きにもたまりません。
もともとは、デパートとして建築されたものだそうです。

なごり惜しく、マンガ博物館を後に・・・



次は、ブリュッセルのＴＩＮＴＩＮショップです。日本にも東京や京都や新潟（他にもあるのでしょうが、行った事あるのは3店だけです）などに、ＴＩＮＴＩＮショップはありますが（そういえば、ロンドンにもありました）、本場は品揃えが違うとのことで、楽しみでした。ＴＩＮＴＩＮ好きにはたまらないお店です。







ブリュッセルのＴＩＮＴＩＮショップは、かのグランプラスのすぐ側でした。
グランプラスは、文豪ヴィクトル・ユゴーが「世界で最も美しい広場」と絶賛し、ジャン・コクトーに「絢爛たる劇場」言わしめた所です。市庁舎や王の家、ギルドハウスに囲まれたとても優雅なところで、中世がそのまま残され空間という感じです。

ブリュッセルでも最も有名な場所なので、観光客もたくさんです。夜景も素敵だそうです。
夜の再訪を楽しみにして、王立美術館へ行きました。　（つづく）
